But if you’d like to give it a try, hey, be my guest. It doesn’t even bother me that much that it isn’t faithful to its source material, (Though I feel like this show is a before-it-all-started type deal). I think I will stick to playing the arcade title (and the one I have for DS), but I cannot enjoy this as watching this show hurts my brain. I could not get myself to actually enjoy this show. The only character I like is the small orange dude with the big ears (he’s like a Pokemon-ish thing). Again, humor only a 10 year old should laugh at. Then there’s the twin ghosts with the fucking ass cheeks on their foreheads. He throws fits whenever he doesn’t get his way and acts like a 4 year old.

Betrayus (Most idiotic name for a character I have ever heard) is literally the worst villain I have ever seen in TV show history. Pinky having a crush on Pac-Man pisses me off most. The ghosts are friends with “Pac-Man” (if I should even call him that) for whatever reason. Then there’s Spiral, who’s just as dumb as Pac-Man if not worse, except the only difference is that he’s sporty. Cylindria, or whatever her name is, is literally the “smart one” of the group but is boring as hell. My boy Pac-Man (Pac or Pacster as his cardboard cutout “friends” refer to him as) has been dumbed down and is now a complete nobody who burps all the time. The characters are pretty two-dimensional.
He also sings off-key which makes it worse.
However, the English OP tries way too hard to be hip and the guy singing sounds like he’s trying not to cry the whole time while singing. As for openings, the Japanese OP by Hyadain (who does the ED theme for Nyanpire) is kinda catchy. The music however, gets on my nerves and is sometimes slapped into the scenes at the worst times. I have no clue what the Japanese audio sounds like because I’ve only watched it in English But the voices fit the characters decently. Also, if this is the same OLM that animates Pokemon and the upcoming Komi-san anime, I will give them credit for trying. I do enjoy the animation and CGI in this show as it isn’t particularly the worst. While it has WAY too many bright colors, it’s definitely the best aspect of this show by far and the characters actually show emotion. This is humor only a 10 year old should laugh at. It’s filled to the brim with unfunny wordplays, jokes that try way to hard to be hip, and burp + fart jokes galore. For whatever reason, I liked this then, but looking back at it now, this entire show is aged poorly. The story doesn’t sound interesting written on paper, and neither does it sound interesting seen on screen. However, the reason I dislike it now is for a personal reason, but I’ll be as honest as I can in this review as to why I dislike it now. Of course, this is related to Pac-Man, one of my favorite arcade games of all time (besides Dig Dug, Galaga, Centipede, to name a few), so I thought I’d like it. And may I comment that I’m quite baffled this is on here, because the show was first aired in 2013 in Canada and America before even coming to Japan. This review is a matured version of the review I wrote on my old account, mothersSPAGHETTI. Honestly, I can’t even remember if I actually finished this show, but I’m going to review it anyway because I will never watch it again.
